Prospect new markets outside the European Union to create a distribution network or build partnerships and invite your established or potential business partners to Belgium.
Any Walloon business that is a manufacturer or service provider, developing an international project with added value for the Walloon economy. The Wallonia Export-Investment Agency appreciates the realistic character of this added value.
A business is an entity, regardless of its legal form, engaged in an economic activity, given that, in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013, all entities which are controlled by the same entity are considered as a single undertaking.
Prospect new markets outside the European Union to create a distribution network or build partnerships.
Invite established or potential business partners from these markets to Belgium.
Carry out (pre) feasibility studies of exceptional projects for your company with a view to the supply of goods and services outside the European Union (continuation of projects in new markets).
Terms of the contribution
For Wallonian manufacturing companies or service providers, the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency covers 50% of the fixed rate costs (the fixed amounts applicable per country are available in the description of the Mobility support outside the EU leaflet) for travel abroad (from Belgium and returning to Belgium) and/or invitation to Belgium on the part of Walloon companies as well as the continuation of the project, and exceptional development expenditure.
The Wallonia Export-Investment Agency's maximum contribution, per country, is:
- 4 trips by a company representative + 3 invitations for foreign buyers
- 6 trips + 3 invitations for foreign decision-makers + exceptional development expenditure for continuing the project (maximum 25,000 EUR in subsidies per project)
Only one contribution is authorised per country every 6 years.
For traders, the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency covers 25% of the fixed amount for 4 trips and 3 invitations. Only one contribution is authorised per country every 6 years. The Wallonia Export-Investment Agency does not contribute to the continuation of the project.
Within this envelope, the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency proposes to cover the costs of travel abroad and/or invitation to Belgium on the part of Walloon companies as well as their exceptional development expenditure for the continuation of the project.
A market is considered new when it represents less than 10% of the company's total exports. This criteria does not apply for starters.
Mobility support outside the EU is de minimis aid within the meaning of Regulation (EU) no 1407/2013.
Payment of the contribution
In the case of applications for incentives submitted from January 1st 2016 onwards which have been the subject of a ministerial agreement, the payment procedure is simplified in accordance with the principle of legitimate expectations.
For applications submitted before January 1st 2016, the settlement conditions set out in the subsidy decree remain in force.

Conditions of the contribution
Companies must submit their application via electronic application form to the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency prior to the trip, invitation or start-up of the project.
An advance payment can be made by the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency starting from the notification date of the grant award decision.
